Stevie Wonder: Talking Book

For years, I was aware of Stevie Wonder only by way of ‘I Just Called To Say I Love You’, ‘Superstition’, and ‘Ebony And Ivory’, and, for all I cared, I didn’t have any interest in exploring his catalog any further. I knew the man was a legend, and he had probably produced some really great songs, but two of those three familiar songs – I’ll leave you to guess which ones – left me with a bad taste in my mouth, and I was going to let him remain an unknown legend (to borrow a phrase from a Neil Young song title).
