At the risk of sounding dramatic, I had given up on ever finding The One and had resigned myself to a life of singledom, and considered running away to Europe with my good friend Cameron for a year to “find myself” – whatever that means. Then, much to my surprise, The One found me and caught me completely off-guard, and we’ve been going strong since. There have been a few hiccups along the way, but what good relationship doesn’t have them? It’s only great relationships that are able to survive them, and I still find myself feeling the same as I did that first week, when the relationship is in that newly-formed bubble, and everything is pink and gooey and exciting.
